1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and UTMEprep ("we", "our", "us"). By registering an account, accessing the platform, or using any feature of UTMEprep, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

UTMEprep is intended for students aged 15 and above who are preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or other Nigerian tertiary entrance examinations. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

School administrators may use the platform on behalf of their institution subject to a separate agreement. If you are accessing UTMEprep under a school subscription, your school's administrators may view your activity and performance data.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@utmeprep.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One person may not maintain more than one student account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or deleted.
• You may not share your account credentials with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code, algorithms, or exam content from the platform.
• Reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display our question bank, explanations, or other proprietary content without written permission.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform or manipulate leaderboard rankings.
• Submit false academic records, exam results, or identity information.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on UTMEprep - including practice questions, explanations, study materials, graphics, logos, and software - is owned by or licensed to UTMEprep and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may access and use content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

Content you submit (such as feedback or forum posts, if applicable) remains yours, but you grant UTMEprep a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and improve our services with it.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of UTMEprep require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise.

• Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan chosen.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Price changes: We will give 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect.

7. Competitions and XP

UTMEprep features live competitions, XP points, levels, streaks, and leaderboard rankings. These are for educational engagement purposes only and have no monetary value. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove XP or competition results if we detect cheating, automation, or abuse of any kind.

8. Disclaimers

UTMEprep provides educational preparation content and does not guarantee specific examination scores or admission outcomes. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content for your specific needs.

We are not affiliated with JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) or any Nigerian university. Past paper questions available on the platform are used for educational purposes only.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UTMEprep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of opportunities, arising from your use of the platform. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
